Kara began her career in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) as a 1:1 tutor at a center-based early intervention program for children with Autism in New York. There, she learned to utilize behavioral strategies and teaching techniques to improve pivotal life skills and target a reduction in maladaptive behaviors. Subsequently, Kara moved to Southern California where she earned a Master’s degree in Psychology at San Diego State University and shortly thereafter she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Over the years, Kara has worked in a variety of settings with individuals with Autism and related developmental disabilities across the lifespan. She has taught graduate level courses in ABA and has mentored others in pursuit of Board certification. Kara focuses on a collaborative approach in her practice and is passionate about supporting individuals in achieving their highest potential.
